hello there fellow music lovers...in the toronto area..
i have to announce, in case you dont read NOW magazine, the best toronto show ever because no one in toronto should miss it...(no sarah is not a listed performer but...all her friends are!)

Okay. its called "closer to the heart", a benefit for the regent park school of music. its at club279 (above hard rock cafe on yonge street) on thursday feb. 26, 20 in advance, 25 at the door.

but the best part is who's playing:
danny michel
jason collett (broken social scene)
bob egan (blue rodeo)
luke doucet (veal)
matt barber
damhnait doyle
jeff pearce (moist)
mia sheard
maury lafoy
kurt swinghammer (everything and everyone)
and tons more..

i yearn to see any of those people alone..and now they're together! this can't be true. but it is.

If you ever get the chance check out The Rude Mechanicals, band from toronto, just releasing their new album " checkin for squirrels" it has bob egan and james gray on it, as well as dahmniet doyle...........great album  www.rudeweb.com

hmmm sounds interesting.
i see they are playing march 6 for canadian music week at tequila lounge (right around the corner from my house!)
no but-im so looking forward to canadian music week....ahhh march 3-6, some really great shows, esp. one at the el mocambo downstairs on march 5. itll be a super time.
