Hey folks,

Are there any other John Mayer fans here? I was a fan of his music since Room for Squares but for a little while there my interest sort of wavered out. Then Heavier Things came out and I haven't even listened to Room for Squares since. I have tickets for his show on Valentine's Day in Vancouver, and one of my friends is coming with me. I've seen him live (on television only) and he puts on a good show. It sort of reminds me of Matthew Good's concerts since he went solo where he jams and reworks lots of the songs, adding a cool bluesy feel to the music. Even though I have pretty far-back seats (just behind the floor seats) I'm pretty excited.

PS. The weather today is excellent, it's so nice and sunny. Although still a little cold, but oh well. Feels like Spring.  :)

hey!  I love john mayer!  i think i just heard him on the radio one day (back with the first single, no such thing) and bit the bullet and bought the album (this was back i the day when i didnt work, and had little money) and loved him
love love love

i had my name in a draw at a local radio station to win tix to go see him in vancouver, but alas...i did not win
and i definately cannot afford to just up and go
*sigh*
would LOVE to see him live...id pee my pants, for sure

have fun!  lemme know how the concert goes!

I was a passive fan WAYYYYY back in the day when he was still in coffee shops and bars.  When the album came out, I just wasn't into the way he was being marketed.  My attention waned... It was too captivated anyway.

I am a sucker for "Body is a Wonderland" though, always have been.

i just spotted this

the friend who i saw my first sarah slean show with brought mayor to my attention.  his first album hadn't been released but she got a boot copy from somewhere and it got sharred among friends.

i thought he was okay, not someone i would die to see live or album i must own.  i like the success that he has earned and enjoy hearing him on the radio.  i won tickets to see him do a free show in toronto but i opted on a family diner over that one.

who i am a fan of and is in somewhat the same light as mayor is Jason Mraz.  he was in toronto again this week doing promo show for Chum FM, Mike Bullard, and Canada AM.
He mixs things up and is alot of fun to see live.
