Did anyone go to The Mint show last night in Los Angeles? Supposedly she did a showcase of some sort. I heard about it earlier this week but couldn't make it out to the show. :(

Looks like she played at that bar last night at 9 pm, in between two other acts.

I'm thinking maybe thats where she's recording her album...?
or at least the club has two music recording studios...and claims they're pretty good and well known. who knows.
i wonder her site isnt posting shows anymore...curious.

i think that sarah's down there to do her album for sure.
didnt she want jon brion to produce? well he does a show every friday in LA at the largo.
they're probably polishing beautiful music as we speak.
i cant wait for the new album to come out!

that makes a lot of sense then.  Jon Brion is an excellent producer so if all the rumours are true, I am especially excited about the new album.

i asked her in March if she'll get Jon Brion to produce, she said she would but something about him not having the time. I guess he was busy working with Fiona Apple at that time (who performs @ largo every now and then awhile ago). She also told me the album will be out either late last year or early this year. But maybe now she's extending it, Jon would have time to work with her. that would be awesome. =)

I used to see Jon Brion all the time a few years ago. Now it's too crowded. Had no idea she was trying to get him to produce. Maybe I'll catch her next one in town then.
