Hey everyone!! Just saying hello to all the Sarah fans...I feel a little shy cuz I don't know that much about Sarah's music I have her self titled cd and a compilation cd that has Playing Cards With Judas on it. Just a little about myself, and how I got to know about Sarah....first heard her on 102.1 the edge about 2 years ago (I think)...I don't remember the song that was played tho'...anyway, I didn't embrace her music right away becuase I think that I wasn't at the stage in my life to really understand and appreciate it...I dunno, I'm strange, lol...but, a lot changed very quickly especially when I got a job at my uni's radio station...that's where I found the Weight single and I remember playing it...seriously, I was blown away. Anyway, I've blabbed too much...hope to talk to all of you about Sarah's great music  ;D

welcome!  I'm nicole... you'll probably see way too many posts from me around here... I am such a slean geek!  which university do you go to?  I have some friends with a canadian-indie-ish radio show on CiTR (the UBC radio station)... and I sometimes make them play Sarah... though they would (and do) on their own.

Hey Nicole, I go to the University of Toronto at Mississauga the station is Vibe 91.9 FM (CRTC). My show starts again in January so if you wanna listen on line go to www.feelthevibe.org and click on the headphones. My show runs on Mondays from 12-2 eastern...I'll be playing lots of Sarah's stuff  ;D

Hey, a UTM student!! Awesome. I'm an alumnus there. I graduated about year an a half ago. Very nice to meet you gooberrygirl. I've never heard 102.1 the Edge play Sarah though. Must've been very briefly on their rotation.

Hey, welcome "mo" (goo?)  

I went to UTM aswell a couple of years ago and switched to head to college.  I co-hosted on vibe radio a few times when I was there =p.  A friend of mine had a show lastyear aswell.

Like clem I'm surprised that you heard her on 102.1, that's pretty cool.  I don't know where I first heard Sweet Ones but I presume some station was playing it.

The Edge played her only a few times from what I can remember...I'm not too sure. Anyway, they were comparing her to Tori Amos...

Prodigyboy....Mo is short for Mouna  and the reference to goo comes from the Goo Goo Dolls. If you're wondering...berry is reference to the cranberries...I know, ::)

Hmm... by your logic of nicknaming yourself, then I should change mine to Coldplasis (Coldplay/Oasis) - my faves of all time. Hehe.  ;D
As for the Edge, they do that sometimes I suppose... they'd feature a new artist who's just breaking through, and they'll never play them again for some reason. Go figure. ::)

goo goo dolls.  i was way off in my line of thinking on figuring that out.  I thought it may have been for a character on Zoboomafoo.

We will have to bump this thread onece your show starts.  Maybe, just maybe you can pull a phone interview with sarah or something?  No more vibe webcam?

The dj on the edge may have panicked when it was near the hour's end and they were short on canadian content.  jk
It would be nice if they played her again, although she's not exactly "new rock".

Prodigyboy was my creative band nickname since I was a newbie.  Still a fan of them but have been following the white stripes a fair bit.

Hey Cameron...I can barely get myself up to get to school at that time, lol...it's wierd cuz I used to get up like 6 am for highschool. I played Weight and Me, I'm a Thief. I'm kicking myself right now cuz I could've done an interview with Starsailor and I found out too late....but if I get a chance to interview Sarah I know I will be the one interviewing her  ;D my manager knows all the bands/artists I like and he said he'll tell me ahead of time.

hey, that's good news.
i actually enjoyed hearing some of the shows.

best kick was them playing End of the Road by Me First Gimmies Gimmies.   they also talked about another Jeff Buckly tribute being played in toronto by a bunch of bands.  I think the page they said for info saywhat.com had nothing on it yet.
