Title: Re: "mute cute show"? Post by Nikolita on Nov 22nd, 2003, 11:33pm well, basically, sarah had planned a show but suddenly got laryngitis but didn't want to have to cancel. A bunch of fellow toronto musician friends banded together to put on a sort of "covers" show but with Sarah still playing piano. I heard she used a whiteboard to communicate and everything. Cute. Very sarah. if you want to read more about it, (though it's not much more) you can click here: www.geocities.com/plateofstars/mute ~nik |

Title: Re: "mute cute show"? Post by Nikolita on Nov 27th, 2003, 6:22pm mm.. I know that the recordings must exist somewhere (why would they record only part of the show?) but I am not sure that they all exist online. I have 4 of the 9 songs... but I haven't heard of anyone having the others. The ones I have used to be available on the original official website: Dave Matheson - Habit Tory Cassis - High Sjanie McInnis - Blue Parade Sarah Harmer - My Invitation Sjanie's voice is very similar to Sarah's (of course you can tell the difference, but you can also tell why she was Sarah's harmony vocalist for a long time - maybe still is) and so my favourite would have to be her cover. Tory Cassis did a fun job of High... saying at the beginning of the song "This is one of my favourite songs of Sarah's, a very serious song of seduction, sung from a girl to a boy, so you have to pretend I am a girl" and then sarah madly hit a few high notes on the piano. About a year ago I too asked if anyone had the "Mute Cute Girl CD" but sadly, one does not exist. Anyways, don't badger yourself too much about finding the other recordings. I had been looking for about 2 years, but resolved that they must not even be out there. If they do, there are a VERY select few fans who have it and they are hoarding. :) ~nik |

Title: Re: "mute cute show"? Post by allison on Nov 30th, 2003, 12:49pm I've been looking for the recordings for a few years now and had all but given up until someone brought up the Mute Cute Girl show. I don't really expect to find them anytime soon but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask! |
