And I'm forced to listen to Easy Rock at work, booo. What you guys have listed is what I find annoying. To much sugar coated candy pop and 'me too' bands for my liking. |

I remember even in the earlier 90's when the radio would actually play good material most of the time. *Of course you'd have to dodge the odd Phil Collins track, but nevertheless...* And POP radio DOES play some good music, BUT most of it gets overplayed...or not played at all. I choose not to listen to radio because they never play what I want to hear, so...I bring my CDs. That way I can hear Sarah, Thom, Bjork, Cardi's, Waits, Folds, Gould, Beatles, DMB, Buckley etc etc...whenever I want and if IIIIIIIII want to overplay it, well then, so be it. Music isn't ugly, people are ugly... J :-X |

Post by alx59 on May 27th, 2002, 10:33am Luckily there's some nice radios on the internet that broadcast only alternative music and not that horrible & so commercial rap/dance/r&b "musics". And there 's few or no adverts in these ones. My fave radios are broadcasted on spraydio.com ; but it's in swedish so I guess few ppl here would be able to listen to it :) Alex back from Stockholm, and on it's way to work on Sarah's music sheet |

Post by Jareed on May 29th, 2002, 6:44pm i have an annoying song, annoying only cause i never found out who it was by for the longest time. i even called in to the station request it but the girl said the name so fast i never caught it. it's half french and english and it's pretty cool for a song to be on the radio. it's called Les Mots by Mylene Farmer with Seal ... i dont know, i like it :) |

So nobody treats her as Canadian.. And she also got rid of her canadian citizenship I believe so... She is ok.. Too poppy for my liking.. but i have 4 of her albums I believe... And I saw her live when I was in Paris.. Mat |
