Post by Allison on Apr 11th, 2002, 5:28pm
Wow, today's been a great day for me as far as Sarah Slean media goes! I just got this month's issue of Chart Magazine in the mail and was pleasantly surprised to see a full page article on Sarah! Hooray!

I'm in the middle of studying for three exams right now and don't really have time to set up my scanner. Maybe later this week when I'm not as busy.

Okay, I changed my mind-I'm sick of studying and love to procrastinate, so here's the article:

Glad to see that Sarah and Chart kinda acknowledge that Universe wasn't her best work.  I dunno, a lot of the fans like to fawn over her indie records, but I don't think Universe is that memorable.

Really?

I thought Universe was a great album!  Espescially for an independant and first album, I think it is a lot better than she's being given credit for.  It was Universe alone that had me hooked to Sarah's music.

I've always loved Universe. I was a bit disappointed with Blue Parade, but Night Bugs has completely renewed my faith.

Me Too!  ;D

I saw her at the Jeff Buckley Tribute event and listened to a few of her songs and Universe absolutely blew me away. I couldn't take it off repeat. And that's how i got hooked on Sarah. So i'm a rather new fan, but its definitely Universe (and John 23) that did it for me. I think the Universe album is fantastic.

Doh! I was too slow and missed it!  :(  Can someone e-mail it to me (if it's not too big).

sorry, i'm searching through old threads...

if anyone still wants the chart article, i'll type it up sometime.  just let me know if you want me to!  come to think of it, there was another article after this one as well - she was in the "stylin'" section of the magazine.  great photos of her, by the way. =)

yeah, it was from a couple months ago or so.

but don't be too excited for chart... it's gradually falling to s.hit.  just look at who's been on the cover recently:  default and nickelback, for example.  oh, and this month? simple plan.  simple fucking plan... give me a break.  it's a wonder sarah ISN'T overlooked, which hugely surprises me.
