radiohead (obviously), smashing pumpkins, nine inch nails, portishead, blur, charlatans uk, spiritualized, the turtles, depeche mode, nirvana, marilyn manson, kill hannah, pedro the lion, starflyer 59, manatee, beck, rhcp.

so who does everyone here like?

Well, i have a pretty wide variety and they're not all bands ... Nelly Furtado, Talvin Singh, Radiohead, Collective Soul, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, Misstress Barbara, Chantal Kreviazuk, Madonna, The New Deal, Ben Folds Five, Fiona Apple, Wong Faye, Rammstein, Tarkan, Shakira, Kelly Chen, Blondie, The Chemical Brothers, Bryan Adams, Travis, Falco, S Club 7 (please dont laugh at me, it's pathetic i know! i'm openly cheesy ok? :) DJ Tiesto, Elisa, Junoon, Madredeus ... that sums it up pretty good

  In no particular order:

  Anouk, Splashdown, Björk, Enya, Hum, Kent, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Elliott Smith, Vangelis, Wagner, Sarah Slean, The Motorhomes, Kittie (yes, really).

  Some of these bands are slightly obscure while others are wildly popular.

Well, the Sleanster's a given.

I also like Weeping Tile/Sarah Harmer, Feist, Nelly Furtado, Pete Yorn, Veal/Luke Doucet, and Sarah Mc... oh and Bush, Metallica, The Strokes, and so many more.

To avoid taking up a couple pages ;-), I'll just sum it up rather quickly with: any band that soulfully sings/plays/performs. I'm a big fan of progrock and progmetal, but when it comes down to it, anything'll do.

Nightwish, Therion, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Jewel Kilcher, Sarah McLachlan, Sarah Slean, Delerium, Ani DiFranco, Tori Amos, Visions of Atlantis, Metallica, The Screaming Jets, K's Choice, silverchair, Midnight Oil, Solar Twins, Milla, Heather Nova, Maire Brennan, Era, Enigma, Radiohead.

Four of those are Aussie bands if you didn't know.

Hi all!;D

My first post to the board, but I was compelled when i saw fellow Elliott Smith and Ani DiFranco posters....

So... Sarah Slean, Sarah Harmer, Elliott Smith, Ani DiFranco, Fiona Apple, Tori Amos, Rachael Sage, Emm Gryner, Patty Griffin, Cake (yeah weird huh?) Ben Folds (pre and post Five), Alicia Keys... god so many more but those are whats in heavy rotation right now!

BTW, i saw Sarah at Milestones sometime last year, and my friend Amber and I sat on the stage!! It was awesome! I think it was early fall of 2000.... Can't believe I haven't seen her since, but hope to go to the RIT show!

hey everyone, that's my first one    ;)
well, about fav bands :

I like so much Counting Crows and Pearl Jam.  :D

Radiohead, Stereophonics,Creed, Sneaker Pimps, Incubus, SOAD, REM, Live, Train, U2, Hootie & The Blowfish, Ben Harper, Ryan Adams... mainly these artists  :)

But it's not an exhaustive list, course...   ;)

And there's Sarah...  ::)
she has a special place now   :)
I discovered the magnificent "Climbing up the Walls" cover song two months ago, well presently, I can say that I listen "Playing Cards with Judas " at least ten times a day lol

I have really diverse tastes in music. I'm really into the Canadian scene though.  Here are some of my faves(Canadian and non-Canadian):
OLP, J Englishman, See Spot Run, Sarah, Chantal, Emm, F11, left Pencey, Slurpymundae, Breach of Trust, Rubberman, Weezer, Saves the Day, Incubus, Tori, Alanis, Fifth Season, First Time Fallen...

I could go on forever, but I won't bore you guys any longer!
