Title: Top 10 favourite songs of 2001
Post by Seraphiel on Dec 11th, 2001, 6:04pm
G'day folks!

It's getting close to the end of the year so I was wondering what your top 10 favourite songs for this year might include?  They don't have to be in any order but I'm interested in what other musical tastes you have apart from Sarah.  :D

Here are mine in no order:

"Trouble" - Coldplay
"Real Men" - Tori Amos
"The New Wild West" - Jewel
"Nobody Loves You" - Garbage
"Better Man" - Robbie Williams
"I Might Be Wrong" - Radiohead
"So Far Away" - Stabbing Westward
"Gonna Miss You" - Paul Mac (featuring Abby Dobson)
"Darker with the day" - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
"As I sat sadly by her side" - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

I would like to start off by saying this is my first Message Board response EVER! I hope I'm doing it right. Friends are either writing exams or working (like me) so I'm looking to communicate here:) I work with stiffs. Really.
Anyways, interesting topic so here are my top 10:

"You're Beauty Must Be Rubbing Off" Hawksley Workman
"Peeping Tom" Placebo
"Shut Your Mouth" Garbage
"Song For Nancy" Pete Yorn
"Alone in the Universe" David Usher
"Walking Wounded" The Tea Party
"Last Nite" The Strokes
"Side" Travis
"Trouble" Coldplay
"You, Me and the Weather" Hawksley Workman

Disagree? Agree? I can take it:)

We should be doing top 10 of ALL time.
there's a challenge.....

I loved Pagan Poetry and It's Not Up To You by Björk.  And Unison.  Vespertine was definitely my favourite record of the year.

Calling It Quits by Aimee Mann.

Narcissus by Alanis Morissette.

Heart Of Gold and Rattlesnakes by Tori Amos.

Widow's Walk and Last Year's Troubles by Suzanne Vega.

Poses by Rufus Wainwright.

And I also loved the Sigur Ros record.
