Sarah performed last night on the University of Toronto campus...a small performance in an intimate venue that wasn't heavily advertised.

Anyway, I got the chance to meet her before the show...she was very friendly.  She joked about our mutual hometown and gave me a personalized autograph on my Blue Parade cd...added a nice 'yah for the suburbs' and a smiley face :)

Her set was great...I was very impressed with her performance.  She was completely solo and her music translated very well in a live setting.  She was very playful and put a lot into the songs.

;) Before her encore, she was talking and said "...right, Kevin?" and looked right at me...I let out a little shriek. ;) hehe.

A great night...and the concert was free!  :D

Thanks Sarah, for such a great night!

PS Opener Rachel Smith was good too!

I'm not so good w/ remembering the new songs names, however my friend Ian who was with me knows them...I'll have to ask him (if he isn't registered here and can tell you himself, that is!)

She opened with a song called Little London Nights...that she's done live before, but that isn't going to be on the album.  Ian requested this song.

There was a another song that was about bankers...I forget the title! I'll have to ask...although I do know that it surfaced on some alternate version of the Sarah Slean EP...

The songs were very catchy!

the song about bankers is called Bank Accounts.  I love that one!!!  ;D

faaaaboolous show... oh goodness. *LOL* My best friend had to all but drag me over to see her before the show... I was tongue-tied.  :-X Sarah's been my favorite artist for the past.. oh, I dunno... 4 years? And I was gonna go talk to her. It was so nice though; she was great to talk to. She was really friendly and warm. :D She signed an autograph and I got some good pictures.... am eagerly anticipating the next Sarah show here so I could say hi..  ;D
